Bestwestern West Hotel. A traditional family run 3 star hotel, conveniently located at Frogner a fashionable residential area behind the Royal Palace in Central Oslo. Situated in a beautiful tree - lined street, amongst, town-houses, embassies, galleries, trendy and local restaurants, cafes, bars and boutique shopping.

West Hotel is of traditional design blended with modern-day standards, we have 56 en-suite, non-smoking rooms, of which 6 rooms have balconies over looking 19^th century architecture buildings. Our rates are inclusive of complimentary Wi-Fi and a “beautiful extensive” buffet breakfast which is a wonderful start to your day whether on a business or a leisure trip.

Our prime location is within a three mile radius of all major tourist attractions in Oslo with easy access by tram, bus, car, taxi and bicycle. The airport is 30 minutes away on the high speed train, stopping at National Theatre Train station which is five minutes walk to the hotel.

West Hotel proudly retains a family run ownership since 1968 and will accommodate our guests where possible to ensure their stay in a memorable experience.

DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL

From Gardermoen Airport:

Taxi - Please ensure you confirm price before you get into the taxi. There are set charges which are different depending when you arrive. Taxi takes about 40 minutes. Tips are not expected. www.oslotaxi.no

Airport Express Train - NOK 170,- per person each way. Children under the age of 16 are free of charge. Students with student ID travel half price. Traveltime approx. 25 minutes.

Directions from Central station/Oslo Bus Terminal - Tram 19 to Riddervolds plass, from Riddervolds plass it is about 2 min walk/approx 100 meters walking down Skovveien, the hotel is located on the left handside.

Tram.12 to Niels Julesgate - Turn right to the coffee shop on the corner and walk up Skovveien and the hotel is 300 meters on the right hand side.

Directions from Nationaltheatre - Henrik Ibsensgate Exit - 5 min to walk to the hotel. From the entrance of the trainstation, you will have Parkveien immediatley on your right handside. Walk along Parkveien, take the first street to your left, Colbjørnsens gate. Walk three streets up, at the cross roads turn right. The hotel is situated 100 meters on your right handside.

NSB Local train from the airport - Cost. NOK 100,- per person, traveltime: approx. 40 min. You can get of at either the central station or the Nationaltheatre. www.nsb.no

Airport Bus - Cost: NOK 175,- per person, traveltime approx: 55 min. You can get of at either the central station or at the SAS Hotel Scandinavia. From SAS Scandinavia it takes about 15-20 min to walkto the hotel. There are trams or buses that goes directly to the hotel from SAS Hotel. www.flybussen.no
